The first National Talent Development Programme (NTDP) day of 2019/20 season will be held on Saturday 26th October 2019. The NTDP will run at Lisnagarvey High School from 9am – 4pm and is open to any archers of any bow type, under the age of 20. Last year’s NTDP had over twenty five athletes from various clubs in Northern Ireland attend and engage in the programme. From the profiling day six athletes were invited to attend the Performance Academy for the 2019/20 season. The NTDP is an important connection between club archery and the Archery GB Talent Pathway. Archers will receive three hours of coaching by our experienced Pathway Coaches, along with Strength and Conditioning advice and benchmarking. Archers can attend bi-monthly coaching and benchmarking days throughout the year and are profiled in August at the end of the cycle. Those demonstrating talent against the “what it takes to win” criteria may be selected to the Performance Academy, the induction for which takes place each September.
