Kim Pegrum to step down as Secretary

After four years as Company Secretary and Financial Controller of Archery NI it is now time for me to step down as Secretary, which I am doing at the end of the year. In those four years, I believe I have established the requirements and set the standard for the Secretary role and it’s now time for someone else to take over. I have however offered to continue as Financial Controller and the Board has accepted this proposal, so I’m not leaving completely! Thank you for your support over the last four years and I look forward to that being continued, not just for me in the Financial role, but also for whoever takes over as Secretary. With regard the position of Secretary, the process now begins to find a volunteer to step into the role. In broad terms the job includes the following:- Board & AGM Meetings – organising, sending out notifications, agenda and documents, taking the minutes and actions and keeping the records. Correspondence – receiving all enquiries through the website, Facebook or emails and any business mail, and answering or re-directing, as appropriate. Communication – preparing and sending out announcement emails to clubs, website and Facebook posts, as required. Email system – managing the MS 365 email accounts. Company Secretary – ensuring compliance with the Articles and company legal requirements, including submitting the annual confirmation statement. Other tasks – as requested by members of the board, as required. Should anyone, a member or non-member of ANI, be interested in volunteering for the job, please contact me at admin@archeryni.org.uk for more details. Keep shooting and maybe I’ll see some of you at the Field Championships at Mt. Stewart this weekend. Kim Pegrum
